Acting Studio, ages 3-6, 7-14 years
The main objectives of our classes are to identify creative potential, develop musical skills, and foster a sustained interest in theatre. Great attention will be given to stage speech, acting, and dance.
Key areas of our work:
- Articulatory gymnastics and a set of breathing exercises;
- Development of a sense of rhythm;
- Listening and improvisation to classical musical pieces (developing musical ear, imagination, and memory);
- Learning dances (developing the ability to move in rhythm with music).
We will strive to develop imagination, emotional expressiveness, and confidence on stage. We will become familiar with different kinds of theater (dramatic, musical, and puppet).
The result of our lessons will be a small, colorful musical performance.
With the older groups, we will stage real productions, paying great attention to musical development (dance and vocal), stage speech, and acting.
